South Hants v Ashcombe Dorking 1
0-3 (17-25,18-25,20-25 )

This was the first home match of the season and we were all hoping for a good result. Unfortunately the South Hants girls could not find their fighting spirit and lost to Ashcombe 3:0.
Ashcombe turn up with a strong team and played very good game with some excellent serving and also hitting through four.
South Hants struggled with receive of the ball which resulted in poor passing and luck of attacks. Also the luck of communication on the court meant that unnecessary mistakes were made. The positives from this game were good serving and defence.
It was a disappointing result but volleyball is a game – you loose some and you win some and we are going to win the next one ;o)
