After a pleasant journey to the venue the girls were fired up for the match.

After a slow start South Hants started to find some consistency. A substitution was made however it was too late to save the set which they lost 19-25.

Following some positive encouragement from the coach the team started strongly with steady serving by Blanka and a better first pass from all. The team remained focused to take the set 25-21.

A change of players lead to a rocky start to the third set which was not aided by Mich taking on a bench and losing. The team struggled to perfect the first pass leaving the setter with few options leading to third set defeat 16-25.

The team came out in the fourth set with renewed vigour and started strongly. They worked through a bad patch in the middle of the set and played solidly throughout the match. After a long and hard fought battle the team lost the fourth set 25-23.

The after match refreshments were poor- the opposition had cleared most of the food before South Hants got out the showers. There were no seats available to use whilst eating and the girls were handed cups with squash that they were told to fill up with water themselves in the toilets.
